The land of Earth, Fire and Ice, Chile is a stunningly beautiful and varied country. These tours give us a fascinating insight into Chile’s cultural and recent political history as well as experience of its amazing natural scenery. From meeting raisin producers at MiFruta, wine producers at Lautaro and honey and blueberry producers at Apicoop, our journey through Chile and the communities we visit, gives us a unique chance to meet the people behind the diverse products that Traidcraft sources here.

We will spend our first few days in Santiago, get our first tastes of traditional Chilean food, tour the sights of Santiago and begin to learn about its history and the effects of Pinochet’s regime on the people of the country. We then begin our journey south passing through amazing natural scenery including the impressive waterfalls of Salto del Laja. As well as visiting Traidcraft’s suppliers raisins at MiFruta, wine at Lautaro and honey and blueberries at Apicoop, we will visit various cities and Mapuche communities, and begin to understand a little more about life in Chile.
