The dramatic mountains of the Himalayas provide the stunning backdrop for this unique tour to Nepal. We spend time with ceramic and handmade paper producers, members of the vibrant network of fair trade producers in Nepal.

Known as one of the best places to view the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, we visit Nagarkot where we can enjoy dramatic sunrise and sunset views. We explore the ancient city of Kathmandu with its many temples, search for rhino on an elephant back safari in Chitwan National Park and spend time in the lakeside city of Pokhara which provides our final dramatic views of the Annapurna himal.

During our time in Nepal we visit Get Paper Industries (GPI), one of Traidcraft's suppliers. Established in 1985 as a family business producing handmade paper products from cotton and paper waste, GPI is now a co-operative and workers are involved in all aspects of decision-making through a number of committees.

As we enjoy all of the famous sights of Nepal, our tour facilitators Mahaguthi bring their knowledge of local communities and fair trade to this tour and encourage you to enjoy a Nepal that few tourists get to experience. Mahaguthi Craft with a Conscience is a fair trade organisation who work with more than one thousand individual producers, fifty percent of whom are from remote and mountainous areas.
