Our exciting new overland journey across northern India begins in 2013. We begin our tour in Delhi, seeing the sights and meeting jewellery producers at Manjeen. After visiting Tara’s headquarters in the capital we enjoy a day trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and possibly most memorable, a visit to Tara's stone carvers in the city.
Moving on to Moradabad we visit artisans working with Noah's Ark before taking the train to Varanasi. On the banks of the Ganges, Varanasi, the city of Shiva is often described as India's holiest city and a place where you can feel absorbed in culture and religion.
Travelling east by train through the ganges Delta we end our tour in the bustling and vibrant centre of the east at Kolkata where we will visit Sasha’s shop and one of their embroidery and tailoring groups in a village outside Kolkata.
