A two week trip to the “Land of the Incas” to visit craft producers and coffee farmers, stay with their families, experience life in the Andes and at the same time enjoy some of the best sites of Peru.

A rich itinerary that explores the diverse culture and natural beauty of Peru. From the capital Lima, we travel up into the Andes and along the sacred valley of the Incas to the famous wonder of the world, Machu Picchu. We visit coffee farmers in the cloud forest who supply Cafédirect and ceramic potters in the towns and villages around Cusco before travelling south through the Andes to Lake Titicaca.

On Taquile Island we stay in the homes of Minka craft producers, as part of a tourism project, and at Juliaca we see Alpaca fleece being spun and knitted into an array of beautiful garments. Back in Lima we learn more about another of Traidcraft's partners; Allpa and as well as visiting their offices, we make a visit to one of their workshops to see some of their silversmiths at work.
