Runners up in the South African Welcome Awards


We are pleased to announce that Origin Travel, our partners in South Africa, are proud to be a finalist of South Africa’s inaugural Welcome Awards. 

The Welcome Awards are the first premier tourism awards in the industry and are introduced by South African Tourism, the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEAT), South African Tourism Services Association (SATSA), The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) and the Association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA).

 

The objective of the awards is to raise the bar in service delivery and visitor experience, to ensure that a holiday in South Africa becomes a life changing experience, that foreign visitors return home as ambassadors for our destination and that the South African industry meets, and then exceeds, International best practice in hospitality.

For those of you that have joined us on a tour in South Africa, we are sure that you will agree with us, that Marie and the team at Origin Travel meet and exceed all of the above criteria and we are pleased that they have received this recognition for all of their hard work. Thank you to those of you who wrote glowing reviews of their experiences of our tour in South Africa which helped in the application stages of the awards. South Africa was one of our first regular destinations and continues to be amongst our most popular tours.
